Gemma & Chris arranged fish & chips for their wedding guests

Gemma and Chris had a fabulous day with us celebrating their wedding on 18th April.  From the day they came to view the hotel, they had firm ideas about how they wanted their day to be.  Gemma arrived in style on a dry Spring day, with our beautiful blossom tree looking at its very best.    They chose a beautiful coral colour theme for their older bridesmaids with the younger ones having a sash in the same colour around their white dresses.

Gemma and Chris chose our Ballroom for their wedding ceremony, which looked just perfect - the aisle for the wedding ceremony was lined with columns and pretty flowers in their colour theme. 

They wanted a simple wedding breakfast of fish and chips with mushy peas for their guests to enjoy after the wedding ceremony - and it went down a treat!  Chocolate brownie followed.  Rather than have a traditional top table, Chris and Gemma choose to have a small round table for three, with the groom's daughter sitting between them.

The day concluded with a party and finger buffet for their guests also in our Ballroom.

We wish Mr & Mrs Cox all the very best for their future together.

'Outstanding venue from the day we booked upto our special day.  Carol and the staff were so kind, organised, friendly and amazing at what they do.  The food was delicious and went down so so well all our guests.  Rooms were immaculate and beautiful.  We would recommend this venue for all occasions big or small.  Our day was perfection!

Ffion & David brought Davids beloved car to their special day

Ffion & David held their wedding with us on 27^th April. They had a white and blush pink colour theme – perfect for a beautiful spring day!

They held their wedding in our Ballroom, which looked wonderful! Adding a touch of sparkle to their special day, Ffion & David chose to have an LED catwalk for Ffion to walk down the aisle, which led to a gorgeous floral arch.

For the wedding breakfast, they chose to have a traditional set-up, with their top table positioned under their floral arch giving them the perfect view of all their friends and family.

The day concluded with a party in our ballroom and a hog roast for their evening guests.

Not forgetting David’s beloved yellow Porsche! The special day wouldn’t have been the same without it!

We wish Mr & Mrs Ryall all the best for their future together.

Ffion & David’s feedback of their day:

‘We knew from the minute we stepped foot in the Glen-yr-Afon House Hotel that it was where we’d get married.

The grounds of the hotel are stunning, with the cherry blossom tree being a focal point in many of our pictures.

The staff at the hotel are accommodating, professional and personable and ensured everybody’s needs were attended to. Carol and team made sure I had everything I wanted and more, the day couldn’t have been more perfect.

Everybody commented on the quality of the food and the generous portion sizes. I was even told by several guests it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding!

We wish we could relive the day all over again – it was magical.’

Samantha and Robert celebrate their spring wedding

Samantha and Robert had a wonderful day celebrating their wedding with us on 25^th April. Their light blue colour theme was perfect for a sunny spring day!

They chose our beautifully appointed ballroom to hold their special day which looked wonderful. They had pale blue sashes on the chairs, in keeping with their colour theme, and had a red carpet to lead Samantha down the aisle.

The pink flower decorations on their beautiful cake matched our blossom tree perfectly!

The evening celebrations got underway with a party in our ballroom and a hog roast for their guests to enjoy.

‘This venue is absolutely beautiful and professionally run. Carol and all the staff are so kind, caring and very organised, the whole day ran very smoothly.

The food was delicious and went down very well with all our guests. The bedrooms are beautiful and immaculate.

I would highly recommend this venue to anyone! Our day was absolutely perfect, we would love to do it all again!
